We are glad you have chosen K & J Cooper Properties as your new/future home!
Please refer to the information on this page and your Dwelling Unit Rental
Agreement to facilitate your move.
Unless stated otherwise on your Dwelling Unit Rental Agreement, your lease
begins at noon on the date your lease begins. You will need to call the office to make an
appointment to check in. If your apartment will be available early, we will tell you when you call to schedule your check-in. If we find out your apartment will be ready earlier than your scheduled check-in time, we will try to let you know.
For August 1st leases, check-in appointments are scheduled
every 20 minutes with the first appointments at 11:40AM and the last appointment
at 2:00PM. If your lease does not start on August 1st, please call the office to find out when you can check in.
You will need to bring several things with you to the check-in
appointment:
1. Copies of your utility agreements showing the required utilities are in your
name as of the day your lease begins.
2. Vehicle information for parking permits.
3. Dog owners need proof of insurance; all pet owners should have current
vaccination info to update Pet Agreements, as needed.
4. August rent. (Remember to pack your checkbook where you can get to it!)
Only one check-in appointment will be scheduled per apartment. If you will be
arriving at a time different from your roommate, you will need to decide between
yourselves who will be checking you in.
If you will not be arriving on the first day of your lease, please let us know. Also, remember to
send your rent payment so it arrives on or before the date your lease begins.
You are responsible for providing some or all of the utilities for your apartment. You will need to sign up for the appropriate services. The utilities
which you are responsible for providing are listed on your lease and sorted by building below. If a
utility is grayed out for your building, it means that the utility is included with
your rent, so you don't need to set anything up. Cable and Internet are provided so those links are for service requests and upgrades only. If you can't remember your apartment number, DO NOT guess when you setup
service. You can find your apartment number in bold on the top of your lease, or
you can ask when you call to setup your check-in appointment. If the first day of your lease is on a weekend, you will need to arrange to start utilities on the last weekday prior to your lease start date. Use the links below to start your service.
Also, don't forget to forward your mail at least several days before you move.
It takes a while for change of address to filter down to the local postal
carriers. You can change your address on the USPS website, or your local post
office or carrier can help.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
